  • Fire! Fire!

    Year 2 were captivated as they brought alive their History learning of The Great Fire of London. Through drama they were transported to Pudding Lane where Samuel Pepys came to our school to bring alive his stories and share evidence about the past. The children were captivated and were able to learn historical information.  Ask Year 2 all about it!

  • LUFC NFL Event

    Year 6 have been fortunate to be invited to lead on a project with Leeds United, having weekly PE lessons on Flag Football as part of the Unlocking Potential Programme. The programme hosted a celebration event at Leeds Beckett University and invited our Year 6 class to take part. along with attendees from the San Francisco 49ers and NFL Foundation.

    The session featured a variety of activities, including mini-tournaments designed to encourage participation and skill development. The event was a true celebration of sport, inclusion, and opportunity, and a powerful step forward in unlocking potential across Leeds.

    Special congratulations to Stella Yeboah and Oliver Drewery (Year 6) who were each awarded a special trophy at the event as a mark of their potential and effort in the tournament.

    Well done Year 6!

    At St Anthony's we were all filled with curiosity as we took part in our eagerly anticipated Science Week.

  • World Book Day

    On Friday 6th March, we invite our school community to celebrate World Book Day at St Anthony’s.

    This year, our theme is ‘Bring a book, take a book!’ As always, the more our community involves themselves in World Book Day, the more fun and exciting it will be! Our Celebration Assembly with our whole school community is a wonderful opportunity to see the different costumes on display and to feel part this important event. During the day, Reception will be working with Big Foot Education to bring alive their learning around The Gingerbread Man.  The children across school will be further igniting their passion for reading in a variety of ways.  Ask the children all about it!

  • The Cave - Year 3

    The Cave

    Today, our Year 3 class were captivated as a cave arrived in our school hall to launch their new topic of The Stone Age.  As the children excitedly crept inside, there was an air of curiosity and enquiry. The children asked and answered questions and it has really brought this topic alive for our KS2 learners. Alive and Kicking Drama Group led the immersive experience for Year 3 and ignited their passion for learning about The Stone Age.  Ask Year 3 all about it ....
