This week's learning...

Amazing Animals

Our learning theme for the next two weeks is all about animals! I really hope that you enjoy discovering more about the amazing creatures that live in our world. I check the Twitter page every single day to see who has been sharing their home learning and the photographs make me so proud of you all. I have also uploaded the new spelling list for Summer 2, under the 'Spellings' tab via the Year 2 class page.

Keep up the wonderful work Year 2!

Hello Year 2,

I have uploaded the newest version of the 1960's document with the new maths tasks attached for you. This week, I have set you something really exciting to try and achieve on Times Table Rockstars...

Year 2 vs Year 3!!

I have spoken to Miss Doherty and we are so excited to see you all taking part in this battle. I know how super you all are so I will be logging on every day to see who is battling for our class! The battle begins Monday morning and ends Friday evening. Good luck!!

smiley Hello Year 2 smiley

I hope you and your families are feeling healthy, happy and safe. I have really enjoyed looking at all of your fabulous home learning efforts via the school Twitter page (StAnthonysLeeds). It put a massive smile on my face to see lots of you doing wonderful activities at home, such as singing for the Maximilian Kolbe Choir, creating wonderful UK themed artwork, super maths work (featuring Yorkshire puddings!) and lots of work inspired by the "Amazing" video...to name only a few! I feel like the luckiest teacher in the world to have a class full of little superstars! I have now uploaded the new tasks for the next 2 weeks. I hope you continue to be inspired to find out lots of information and facts. Keep posting your super pictures and trying hard, as you always do! There are lots of examples of your super work on our class page under the 'Well Done' link.

Missing you all!

Week 4 Curriculum Consolidation

Dear Year 2,

I hope that you all have enjoyed a blessed Easter with your families. Easter is such a special time for us all both in and out of school. Although we have not celebrated in our usual style of collective worships, reflections and our famous Easter bonnet/garden competitions...I know that we are all able to celebrate together in prayer. I pray that each and every one of you and your family members are safe and healthy this Easter.

I have uploaded a new curriculum consolidation task for you all based on our wonderful Geography topic! As usual, I know that you will make your parents so proud in your completion of these activities. It has been wonderful to see so many of you sharing images via the @StAnthonysLeeds Twitter page too!

I really am missing you all so much! Keep safe smiley

smiley  Hi there Year 2  smiley

I hope that you and all your families are well and are enjoying your home learning to date. I am so proud of how hard you're all trying to keep being the little superstars you are at home! Well done again to the girls for winning the Times Table Rockstars competition, with Amina sharing whopping score 2,946 for the girls! Well done to all of you who contributed, I know that you will all certainly try hard with the Boys vs Girls challenge across the whole school next week!

I can see that lots of you are completing the tasks I have set for you via Mathletics...well done! I am tracking all of your activity and I am smiling at your super scores - keep it up! I will be setting new challenges via Mathletics for next week. I am certain that you are all showing your parents how hard working you are smiley

This week, I have set you a task all about plants. I know that in class we enjoyed singing lots of songs together about plants and I know that your enthusiasm for learning will be continuing at home. I can't wait to hear all about what you have found out when we return to school. I really am missing you all so much!

Take care of yourselves and your families.
