Dear visitors - Welcome to St Anthony's Catholic Primary School Website!
Thank you for visiting our school website. My name is Miss Leonard, and I am privileged to have been the head teacher of St Anthony’s for the last seven years. As a former pupil of this outstanding Catholic Primary School I am especially proud to be its head teacher! In the last 18 months we have been inspected for our Section 48 inspection and received the ultimate outstanding grade, a true reflection of the excellence that happens each and every day in our school. We were also honoured to become a nationally designated teaching school, recognising the national contribution we make to improving the education of not only our own school but many others too! It truly is a special place to belong, and the impact of St Anthony's ripples all across our Diocese and beyond. Over the last three years our results led to us reaching the highest places in government tables, receiving a congratulatory welcome letter from the Department For Education! We are now looking forward to another new year filled with more success! We have consistently been named as one of the top performing schools in Leeds on the DFE league tables for our performance. This year, we have been designated as a national support school, recognised by the DFE in our role supporting others nationally. Our school is fortunate to be led by a National Leader of Education, and our teaching staff comprises four specialist leaders of education, highlighting the quality of staffing at the school for the benefit of all our pupils.
We are an “oasis in the community” of Beeston and St Anthony’s parish, and we are proud of our continued success. In our last Ofsted, it was commented that " the most important thing about St Anthony's is that it provides its pupils with an outstanding education in a climate where all pupils, whatever their traditions, feel they belong" They continued ... "As a result, pupils' behaviour is exemplary and their spiritual, moral, cultural and social development is outstanding. The inclusive ethos is exemplified in the way, for example, all pupils participate in the Christian assemblies and in the exceptionally positive response to the school by parents and carers, who engage fully with the school's efforts for their children."
We have amazing pupils, staff, parents and governors at St Anthony’s, and we all share a belief that God will guide us to achieve everything we are capable of, and more! Everyone achieves their hopes and dreams at St Anthony’s ! I hope you enjoy visiting our website and hope to meet you very soon.
